- Google profile picture — displayed on your profile if you sign in with Google.
We also collect gameplay data including quiz scores, levels completed, stars earned, and game results to provide profile statistics and leaderboard rankings.

- To display your name and scores on leaderboards.
- To track your game progress and statistics.
- To improve the quiz experience.
3. Local Storage
We use your browser's local storage to save your login session and quiz progress (levels unlocked, best scores) locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you are signed in.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Sign-In — for authentication. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Google.
- Vercel Analytics — for anonymous, aggregated website usage analytics. No personal data is collected by Vercel Analytics.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — our backend APIs are hosted on AWS to store user accounts and game data.
5. Cookies
We do not use cookies directly. Third-party services like Google Sign-In may set cookies as part of the authentication process. Please refer to Google's cookie policy for details.
6. Data Retention
Your account data and game statistics are retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
The Trivia Quiz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
